When you awaken, what is your first thought?

When you fall asleep, what is your last thought?

You can seed the last thought through intention. The first thought, though, arises naturally and gives insight into what is happening inside you.

Don’t make an enemy of your thoughts. It’s like yelling at a child.

What are they trying to tell you?

Write down your first thought of the day. Do it every day. See how it changes. Or doesn’t.

Although you may want to figure yourself out, don't!

See the thought for what it is — a finger pointing to the moon but not the moon itself.

Hold back the impulse to know yourself.

Let yourself be a mystery so a deeper and truer understanding can emerge.

Are you investing in that stock? Or are you speculating?

An investment is a belief that the value of an asset will go up.

Speculation is the hope that the price will go up.

Sometimes, it can be hard to tell the difference.

I think this is true in relationships too.

Is that person you’re thinking about like crypto or like General Electric?

Go below the surface and look at the fundamentals of whatever and whomever you’re considering investing in.

Look at past performance and the values that drive the company or the person’s decision-making. Do some forecasting. Run it all by a trusted friend to make sure you’re not blinded by greed or lust.

Take care of your future self by investing wisely today.
